Know every ride.
Improve the next one.

A device on your motorcycle records every ride on its own. The app replays it, scores how you rode, and tells you what to try next.

  • No phone on the bike
  • Nothing to start or stop
The RideTrace app replaying a ride on the map, with speed, revs, gear, and lean at one moment.

What you get after every ride.

A replay, a score, coaching, a rider level, and how your bike is doing over time.

Remember

Replay every ride. Speed, revs, gear, and lean on the map, second by second.

The app keeps every ride. Open one from last week or last season, scrub to any bend, or jump to a rough shift.

On the dashboard, a 3D motorcycle leans through the ride as it plays.

Improve

A ride score out of 100, in four parts.

Braking, cornering, shifts and pull-aways, and engine. Each part shows what it counted, so you can see where the score comes from.

Progress

A rider level that moves with every scored ride.

Five tiers, from Ignition to Road Legend. A strong ride takes you closer to the next tier. A weak ride sets you back.

  1. Ignition
  2. Steady Hand
  3. Smooth Operator
  4. Road Captain
  5. Road Legend

Know your bike

Battery, charging, and engine trends from your own rides.

The app learns your bike's usual range for resting battery, charging, engine temperature, warm-up, and idle, and shows a finding when a number leaves it.

Engine temperature reached 104 °C in about 23 °C outdoors. That's higher than expected for this weather.

Coaching starts with what was measured.

Each note gives the number first. Some add one thing to try. These three are from one real ride on the RideTrace test bike.

  • Lugging. 5 % of moving time was under load below 1,875 rpm. Shift down earlier.

    Engine

  • 12 of 57 shifts jolted above 0.3 g, 7 up and 5 down. Match revs before you let the clutch out.

    Shifts and pull-aways

  • Revs stayed low while the engine warmed up, 6 min below 60 °C.

    Engine

Speed and lean never raise your score.

RideTrace puts safety first. Nothing in the score asks you to ride faster or lean further.

The score looks at how smoothly you brake, corner, and change gear, and at how you treat the engine. Speed and lean depend on the road, the traffic, and the weather, so they earn nothing. RideTrace does not reward, endorse, or encourage dangerous riding, and a safety note always lowers the score.

What the score looks at

Braking
How gradually you build the brakes and ease them off. A firm stop that you build up gradually scores as well as a gentle one.
Cornering
Where you finish braking and how you lean in. How steady you hold the lean, and how you roll the throttle back on.
Shifts and pull-aways
Gear changes and starts without a jolt.
Engine
High revs, lugging, and revs on a cold engine.

What never raises it

Speed
Riding faster does not raise your score.
Lean angle
A deeper lean does not raise your score. A deep lean on a wet road lowers it.
Acceleration
Accelerating harder does not raise your score. Harsh acceleration from a stop lowers it.

Most lean

Exit speed

The device records lean and speed through every bend. Replay puts them on the map.

  1. EntryFirm braking is done before you lean in.You lean in with one steering input.
  2. ApexYou hold a steady lean through the middle.
  3. ExitYou roll the throttle on gradually from the apex.

RideTrace reads this from how the motorcycle moves. It looks at every bend of the ride this way.

The device records on its own.

A phone app knows where you went. The device also reads the motorcycle: revs, gear, engine temperature, and battery voltage.

Which signals it reads depends on the motorcycle.

  1. Fit

The device sits under the seat and takes its power from your bike. Set it up once from the app.

  2. Ride

Once it knows your bike, ride start and stop are automatic. No phone on the bike.

  3. Sync

Rides sync over your home Wi-Fi when you're back. They stay on the device until they have.

Questions riders ask.

Does it work with my motorcycle?

RideTrace works on any motorcycle with a CAN bus that the harness can connect to. A listed motorcycle gets a harness that plugs in. Any other motorcycle gets the universal harness, and the app shows you how to teach the device your bike. The device records no rides until it knows your bike.

How do I install it?

The device mounts under the seat and takes its power from your bike. A bike-specific harness plugs into a connector on your bike. A universal harness ends in open wires that you connect with the splice connectors from the box.

What else do I need?

A microSD memory card of 8 to 32 GB. The card is not in the box. You also need a phone with the RideTrace app to set up the device, and Wi-Fi at home to sync your rides. Or use your phone as a hotspot.

Do I need my phone on the ride?

No. The device records on its own and keeps the ride until it syncs. You need the app only to set up the device or view your rides.

Does RideTrace judge my speed?

No. RideTrace never compares your speed to a speed limit. Speed and lean angle never raise your score. The score looks at how smoothly and efficiently you use your motorcycle, and at how you treat the engine. RideTrace does not reward, endorse, or encourage dangerous riding.

Is there a subscription?

Yes. You buy the device once. Replay, scores, coaching, and bike health run on a yearly membership. The first month is included and starts with your first synced ride. The shop shows the prices when it opens.

What happens when my membership is off?

The device does not sync new rides. It keeps them stored and syncs them when your membership is on again. The rides that synced before stay on your dashboard.

Can I return the device?

Yes. You can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Return shipping is at your cost. Send it back with its harness, cut or not.

Who can see my rides?

Only you, when you're signed in. No other rider can see your rides, your bike details, or your account information. RideTrace does not sell your personal data.
